…are your best friend.Sharpies and large post-its (4″x5″) are great for brainstorming and getting your ideas down. Then you can arrange them in all sorts of ways to see how they connect to your main point.

Some people use a white board, which can often work. Another is to print out the blank powerpoint slides in handout format. I personally like the flexibility of the sticky-notes. for the ability to rearrange many times.
